Bald Head Island Passenger Ferry Ferry Departures The North Carolina Utility Commission (NCUC) has ordered a checked-baggage limit of THREE (3) items per ticketed passenger on the Bald Head Island Ferry. The order also limits the size and weight of checked-baggage to being no larger than a standard 48-quart cooler and weighing no more than 50 pounds. Excess baggage as well as oversized and overweight items may be subject to an additional charge of $23 per item. Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc. will begin implementing this order on April 1, 2022.
